New Mini Toggles

Here is a photo of the finished toggles that were cooling in the kiln a week ago. (They are about 3/4 of an inch square.) I can't believe the week has gone by so fast. I think they came out great but I am not happy with the toggle stick. I would love suggestions for a shape or size. I am going to make some more today.

I have been busy making some necklaces and beading. It has been nice being in the house and not having to struggle with the cold in my studio. This weekend promises to be relatively mild. I have some new ideas to try out and want to tackle those toggle sticks.

  1. Oh, these are gorgeous! Beautiful spring colors. And the size sounds perfect for bracelets!

  2. Hi Erin,
Thank you so much for the comment. I love them but am having probs. with the toggle bar. I find that the ceramic is too thick for this size so I have been trying out a thinner copper commerical bar. If you would like to test drive one of these just let me know and I will send it to you.

  4. Fab Fibers,
So glad you like the little clasps. I am still working on making these toggles bars fit better. Have a great CRUISE.

  5. hmmm... Would the ceramic be too fragile if you tried to make it thinner? I would be happy to try one out for you! Any excuse to see one of your pieces in person is fine by me.

  6. Hi Erin,
I like your suggestion of making the toggle thinner. I will send you one to try once I make them. I am still working on getting my thermocouple replaced. Seems to be much harder than I expected. Thanks so much for giving me a suggestion.
