Spring Color Inspiration
This is a photo of a new raspberry shoot emerging a few weeks ago. I love this combination of dark greens and reddish brown. Certainly a color scheme that will work its way into a beaded bracelet or strung necklace. This is my first time growing raspberries and I was totally blown away when I saw these new shoots.

I need some inspiration! I can really see a beaded necklace in those colors - gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBTW, we just yanked all our raspberries out! They take over the patch where you put them, sending out crazy amounts of crawlers (or whatever you call them) after you have them a couple years, so make sure you don't have anything growing there that you want to save!
Thanks Sue. I see a lot of shoot or suckers--more every day. I guess I don't know what I am in for. Thanks for letting me know what to do.
ReplyDeleteAlways pleased that I can inspire.
I love that color combo too! I also love similiar combos that have shades fo purple with shades of greens.....I'm always looking for something in nature to inspire me....and sometimes in books too!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great color combo. I gonna have to go see what I have in my stash that will work for it...
ReplyDeleteI really like the colour of newly emerging rasberry shoots as well. I have black raspberries and unfortunately they are the heirloom variety and grow everywhere. But the shoots are beautiful and the blooms are very pretty in an understated way.
