Week 22 Foodie
Our prompt this week from Sally was to take a pic of food we love. This picture above is a cheese plate my husband prepared for us last night. It was so hot it was a "no cook" dinner. I love the way the food looks on this plate and the parts I like best are the cheeses( Brie, Gouda and Swiss) and the fresh Italian bread. The Schinken under the knives is a specialty deli meat that my husband loves. We are not able to get it locally so we buy it whenever we are near a Wegman's grocery store since they carry everything good in food. But that is in a big city, not out here in the country.
My other food loves are salads, raw veggies, fruit and Mexican food, especially enchilladas which I make whenever my children visit. In the category of foods that are not good for you, I especially love cheddar chips.
My bad!!!

Oh this looks yummy! It's been too hot here for good warm food too. Funny about the kettle chips. My weakness, Chili Cheese Fritos. Yep, I could eat the entire bad in under an hour!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see another bag of 'junk food' show up... your top picture looks like my idea of a sandwich... I live in the boonies too so am limited to whats in the fridge for most meals!
ReplyDeleteIf I don't make it, we don't eat it. That's the boonies for you. Every now and then something will sneak in but it's rare.
ReplyDeleteOh yum (I say as I'm heading for the fridge hoping for cheese)!
ReplyDeleteI love no cook nights, yours looks delicious. I have never tasted Schinken before. I am goingt o be visiting he East coast in August, will have to visit a Wegmans.
ReplyDeleteOh what is better then a cheese platter......yum.
ReplyDeleteA variety of cheese always looks so like art to me when on a plate. Reminds me of platters my mom would serve when friends visited in the evenings. I grew up loving different kinds of cheese. Here's to no cook meals in summer. Andrea
ReplyDeleteCheese and bread- looks yummy!
ReplyDeleteI never developed a fondness of cheese, unless it's melted all gooey into a casserole or or shredded on tacos or spaghetti.
ReplyDeleteYour photo is great!!!!!
Mary that looks like an excellent meal to me. The no cook part is cool. The only thing I would add would be some raw veggies.
ReplyDeleteGoodness, that cheese plate makes me a little weak in the knees. I do love my cheeses! As such, those chips make my mouth water too. :) Great photo.
ReplyDeleteChips are definitely a guilty pleasure of mine, too. I love cheese, but I'm trying to cut back. Hard to do!
